Tee Times

SOCIAL: Pick your own

  • Once you accept registration for a SOCIAL round, you must go to our member portal and choose your own tee time.  Instructions for this process can be found 2025 BMGC League :: Tee Time Selection Instructions
  • For 9 hole events, the final tee time will be approximately 3 hours before sunset
  • For 18 hole events, you may play anytime during the day and the final tee time will be approximately 5 hours before sunset.
  • While choosing your tee time, you may add up to one guest (who may play in your group but are not eligible for the prize pool) or 3 members to complete your foursome.
  • The tournament committee reserves the right to combine selected tee times so as not to have singles.

COMPETITIVE: Assigned by the tournament committee

  • Once you accept registration for COMPETITIVE round, nothing else needs to be done by you. The tournament committee will assign foursomes and tee times for these events.
  • All COMPETITIVE tournaments will be 18 holes.
  • On Thursdays the final tee time will be approximately 5 hours before sunset.
  • On Saturdays, the tournaments typically start at 7:30 with the exception of rounds prior to May 1st and after September 1st.  For these dates, the first tee time is typically 8:00.

Gimmies

SOCIAL: Yes

  • Your group may decide if a putt is “good”.  However, there is money on the line and it’s not fair to the rest of the playing field for you to be giving 5’ers.  Recommended max length of gimmies is “inside the leather” (approximately 2’).

COMPETITIVE: No

  • All putts must be holed.

Posting Scores

SOCIAL: No

  • For all SOCIAL events, the men’s club will not be posting the scores.  That said, it is strongly recommended that you post your own scores to keep your handicap legitimate.

COMPETITIVE: Yes

  • After the completion of the scoring, the BMGC will post your tournament score to the GHIN website.

Max Score

SOCIAL: 10

COMPETITIVE: 10

  • At any point during the hole, if you aren’t going to score less than a 10, please pick up and move on for pace of play purposes.
