Tournament Day Scoring

At least one person should keep a paper score card.  This is a backup in case there are issues with Golf Genius but also so you can confirm that all electronic scores have been entered correctly when you finish your round.

For official scoring, the BMGC will use electronic scoring for all events using the Golf Genius app

  • Only person will enter scores for everyone in the group.
  • Before each tournament, a "GGID" will be provided that is applicable to your group and it will also be printed on the Sign Up Sheet in the pro shop on tournament day.
  • The scorer will need to sign into the app using the “GGID” provided for that tournament's date.
  • The scorer will then click on their name to begin the process.
  • Once you complete each hole, enter the score for each player then select “Save Scores” to move to the next hole.
  • At the end of the round, click “Score Card Summary” to see the complete scorecard.
  • Compare the entered scores with the players who kept the paper score card and make any adjustments if necessary.
  • Once all scores are confirmed, select “Saves Scores” again.

If for whatever reason the electronic scoring on Golf Genius isn't working, keep your score on a scorecard then take a picture and email it to djbarthel@gmail.com.  The Tournament Committee will get the scores entered prior to closing out the tournament.
